April 18, 2009- Over 250 vehicles showed for Saturday Drag racing action. In Super Pro quarter finals it was Nathan Baker of Xenia dialing a 6.06 to the 4.79 of Mike Sturgill of Beavercreek. Sturgill would be better at the tree with a .521 light, and would take the win with a 4.806 run. Next would be JR Lockhart of Riverside against Ron Vance of New Carlisle. Vance would leave early, moving Lockhart to the semis. The last pair for the round would be Brent Angles of Hillsboro against David Maggard of Dayton. Maggard would leave early and moved Brent to the Semis. It would be Lockhart vs. Sturgill in the semis to see who would face Bye runner Brent Angles in the finals. Lockhart would dial a 4.81 to the 4.79 of Sturgill. Lockhart would cut a better light with a .526 but would breakout, Sturgill would take the win with a 4.795 run. In the finals it would be Sturgill
dialing a 4.79 to the 5.21 of Angles. Angles would have the better light
with a .514 and would take the win with a 5.217 run. Jason Cook Had the
best losing package first round and was awarded a Free Buy Back for the
day. In the Pro Quarter finals it would be Michael Roberts of new Carlisle dialing a 6.43 to the 7.13 of Dave Freauf of Beavercreek. Roberts would get the advantage at the tree with a .576 and would take the win light with a 6.446 run. Next would be Rusty Thompson of Columbus dialing an 8.46 to the 7.25 of Dan Brewer. Thompson would have the better reaction time with a .543 and was able to hold Brewer at the finish line with an 8.471 run for the win. Next would be Bryan Fox of Springfield dialing a 5.72 to the 6.80 of Brad Johannes of Hamilton. Johannes would take the advantage at the starting line with a .501 which would be enough with his 6.830 run to take the win. Mike Hurless had the bye into the semis. In the semis it would be Roberts and Johannes. Roberts would dial a 6.43 to the 6.80 of Johannes. Johannes had the better reaction time with a .517, and would take the win with a 6.802 run. Thompson and Hurless would race next to see who would make it to the finals. Hurless left early and that moved Thompson to the finals. In the finals it would be Thompson
dialing an 8.44 to the 6.78 of Johannes. Thompson would leave red and
that would give the win to Johannes. IDDU racer Gwayne Honeycutt had the
best losing package first round and was awarded a Free Buy Back. In the sportsman quarterfinals it would be Rusty Thompson of Columbus dialing a 13.15 to the 13.28 of John Cox of Tipp City. Thompson would be better at the tree with a .589 and would take the win light with a 13.156. Next was James Browder III of Granville dialing a 13.80 to the 12.39 of Dennis young of Kettering. Browder would be better at the tree with a .548, but it would be Young closer to the number with a 12.440 for the win. Joe Cloran had the bye to the semis. In the Semis young dialed a 12.36 to
the 16.14 of Cloran. Cloran would have the better light with a .568
light and would take the win with a 16.082 for the double breakout.
Thompson had the bye run to the finals. In the finals it would be Thompson
dialing a 13.12 to the 16.10 of Cloran. Cloran had the better light with
a .514 and would take another double breakout win with a 16.081. In the pro bike quarters it would be Sam Cotterman of Tremont City dialing a 10.60 to the 9.46 of Kevin Hoskins of Cincinnati. Hoskins would leave early moving Cotterman to the semis. Next would be Bob Nugent of Trotwood dialing a 9.45 to the 8.80 of Burt Exman of Englewood. Exman would be better at the tree with a .530, however Nugent made the pass with a 9.516 for the win. Next was Michael Nugent of Tipp City dialing a 9.56 against the 9.09 of Rick Haupt of Farmersville. Haupt would get the better light with a .528, and would take the win with a 9.101 pass. Jeremy England had the bye into the semis. England would dial a 10.71 to the 9.09 of Haupt for the first pair of the semis. Haupt would get the better light with a .524 and kept the advantage to the stripe with a 9.154 ride for the win light. Next would be Bob Nugent dialing a 9.50 against Sam Cotterman, Cotterman would have mechanical issues, and that would make Nugent the winner on a 9.478 ride. In the finals it would be Nugent
dialing a 9.47 to the 9.09 of Haupt. Nugent would have the better light
with a .513. The win would go to Nugent with a 9.493 ride. Jrs 8-9 quarterfinals started with Emily Crum of Jamestown dialing a 13.00 to the 13.03 of Cheyenne Masters of Urbana. Crum would be better at the tree with a .561 but it would be Masters closer to the number with a 13.176 for the win. Next would be Shelby Stacy of New Carlisle dialing a 13.00 to the 13.21 of Marissa Babb of Xenia. Stacy would be better at the tree with a .889, and would take the double breakout win with a 12.970. Michael Roberts had the bye run. In the semis it would be Masters on the Bye run. Roberts would dial a 13.24 to the 12.90 of Stacy to see who would face Masters in the finals. Roberts was better at the tree with a .785 and would take the win with a 13.263 run. In the finals it would be Roberts dialing a 13.24 to the 13.30 of Masters. Roberts would be better at the tree with a .518 and would take the double breakout win with a 13.133. In the 10-12 quarters it would be Kay Crum of Jamestown dialing an 8.93 to the 9.31 of Sara Rowe of Urbana. Crum went red moving Rowe to the semis. Next would be AJ Kendall of Wapakoneta against Jerry Rase of Hillsboro. Rase would go red and that moved Kendall to the semis. Next would be Shayla Babb of Xenia dialing an 11.66 to the 8.90 of Caleb Eliison of Beavercreek. Babb would have the better light with a .584 and would take the win with an 11.708 run. Next would be Maddie Cox of Berea against Dylan Northup of Springfield. Cox dialed an 11.10 to the 9.10 of Northup. Northup wiould be better at the tree with a .554 and would hold the advantage to the strip with a 9.138 run for the win. In the semis it would be Rowe dialing a 9.29 to the 11.66 of Babb. Babb would cut a perfect .5000 light and held the advantage to an 11.710 for the win. Kendal would be up next dialing a n 11.36 to the 9.09 of Northup. Northup would cut a .513 and keep the foot down for a 9.168 run taking the win. In the finals it would be Babb dialing
an 11.69 to the 9.08 of Northup. Babb would have the better light but it
would be Northup closer to the number with a 9.118 run for the win. In the semis it would be Hughes dialing
an 8.07 to the 7.90 of Ellison. Ellison would leave early moving Hughes
to the Finals. Browder had the bye to the finals.
