April 25, 2009- Over 250 vehicles made the call for the first day of points at Kil-Kare Dragway. In the Super Pro quarter finals it would be Brent Angles of Hillsboro dialing a 5.20 to the 5.85 of Matt Barrett of Beavercreek. Barrett would be better at the tree with a .517 reaction time, and would hold the advantage to the win light with a 5.861 run. Next would be Steve Royalty of Franklin, dialing a 6.07 to the 5.47 of Mark Donnaker from yellow Springs. Donnaker would go red moving Royalty to the semis. In the last pair for the round it would be Walt Shade of Fairborn dialing a 6.46 to the 6.12 of Ron Baisden of Columbus. Baisden would chop down the tree with a .507 light, and would take the win with a 6.133 run.

            In the semis it would be Baisden on the bye run to the finals. Next would be Royalty dialing a 6.08 to the 5.85 of Barrett. Barrett would be better with a .514 light. Barrett would take the win with a 5.873.

            In the finals Baisden dialed a 6.11 to the 5.86 of Barrett. Barrett would be better at the tree however broke out giving Baisden the win with a 6.122.
            In the Pro Quarter finals it would be Dwight Fox of Springfield dialing a 5.79 to the 6.10 of Mark Griffith of New Carlisle. Griffith would get the better reaction time with a .530 and would race hard to a 6.098 double breakout victory. Next would be Rusty Thompson of Columbus dialing an 8.47 to the 6.55 of Mike Hurless from Washington Courthouse. Thompson would have the better reaction time with a .527, however Hurless would run closer to the numbers with a 6.560 for the win. Next would be Meshell Harrison dialing a 6.63 from Kettering against the 6.43 dial of Michael Roberts from New Carlisle. Roberts would record the better reaction time with a .528 and would take the win with a 6.433 run. The last pair of the round would consist of Steve Collier dialing a 6.08 to the 6.43 of Dave Baker, both from Xenia. Baker would go red, and that would move Collier to the next round.

            In the semis it would be Griffith dialing a 6.10 to the 6.43 of Roberts. Roberts would get the advantage from the tree with a .522 light, and would take the win with a 6.431 run. Next would be Collier dialing in at a 6.04 to the 6.54 of Hurless. Hurless went red, and Collier would continue to the finals.
            In the finals it would be Collier dialing a 6.04 to the 6.43 of Roberts. Roberts would have a .533 at the tree, however it would be Collier with the 6.049 breakout win.

            In the Sportsman quarters it would be Paul Gibbs of Beavercreek dialing a 13.39 to the 12.30 of Rick Gladman. Gladman went red moving Gibbs to the semis. Next would be Rusty Thompson against Doug Thompson, both from Columbus. Doug would get the better light and would take the double breakout win with a 13.215 on a 13.22 dial. Matt Furry had the bye into the semis.
            In the semis it would be Gibbs dialing a 13.34 to the 12.45 of Furry. Furry cut a .561 and would hold that to the finish line for a 12.498 victory over Gibbs. Doug Thompson had the bye to the finals.

            In the Finals it would be Thompson dialing a 13.24 to the 12.45 of Furry. Furry would get the better light with a .523, however the double breakout put the win light to Thompson with a 13.214 run.
            In the Pro Bike quarters we would see Scott Sheppeard of Tipp City dial a 5.85 to the 8.12 of Jeremy England of West Chester. Sheppeard would take the better light with a .521 and would take the breakout win over England with a 5.897. Next would be Rick Haupt of Farmersville dialing a 5.65 against Darrell Carmichael of Tipp City with a 5.80 dial. Carmichael would leave early and that moved Haupt to the semis. Next would be Homer England dialing a 6.07 to the 5.46 of Joe Deck from Morningview Ky. Deck would have the better light with a .530, and would take the win with a 5.545. Burt Exman of Englewood had the bye run into the semis.
            In the semis it would be Haupt dialing a 5.67 to the 5.85 of Sheppeard. Haupt would cut a .511 and take the win light with a 5.673. Next would be Deck dialing a 5.48 to the 5.51 of Exman. Deck would cut the better light with a .560 and would take the win with a 5.673 ride.

            In the finals it would be Haupt dialing a 5.66 to the 5.47 of Deck. Haupt would receive the better reaction time with a .526 and would take the win with a 5.668 ride.
            In the Jrs 8-9 Class we would see Logan Back of New Carlisle against Emily Crum of Jamestown both dialed 12.90 for  a heads-up drag race. Crum would be better at the tree with a.597 light, but Back would hold the number with a 13.077 run for the win light. Next up would be Kyle Beavers of Urbana dialing a 12.90 to the 13.40 of Byron Pitts also of Urbana. Pitts would get the better light with a .555, but would breakout and move Beavers to the semis. Michael Roberts had the bye.
            In the semis it would be Beavers on the bye to the finals. Roberts and Back would battle it out to see who would continue on. Roberts dialed a 13.25 to the 12.93 of Back. Roberts cut a .665 and would take the win with a 13.363.
            In the finals it would be Beavers dialing a 12.90 to the 13.25 of Roberts. Lil’ Beav would cut the better light with a .527 and would take the win with a 12.986 over a breaking out Roberts.
            In the 10-12 class it would be AJ Kendall of Wapokoneta dialing a 10.91 to the 9.19 of Sara Rowe of Urbana. Rowe would be better at the tree with a .606, and would take the win light with a 9.205 run. Next would be Paige Vance of new Carlisle dialing a 9.20 to the 8.90 of Caleb Ellison from Beavercreek. Vance would have the better light with a .599, but it would be Ellison with the win on an 8.918 run. Next would be Kay Crum of Jamestown dialing an 8.90 to the 11.57 of Garreth Sheppeard of Tipp City. Sheppeard would go red moving Crum to the semis. Shayla Babb of Xenia had the bye run.
            In the semis it would be Crum dialing a 8.92 to the 11.72 of Babb. Crum would have the better light with a .595, and would take the win with an 8.970 over a breaking out Babb. Next would be Ellison dialing an 8.90 to the 9.19 of Rowe. Ellison would be better on the tree with a .629 light, and would hold the advantage to the stripe with an 8.865 for the double breakout win.
            In the finals it would be Crum dialing an 8.95 to the 8.90 of Ellison. Crum had the better light, a .531, but Ellison ran closer to the number taking the win with an 8.938 run.
            In the 13& Up class it would be Zach Deaton of West Chester dialing a 10.82 to the 7.90 of Tyler Vance of New Carlisle. Vance would get the better reaction with a .571 and would take the win with a 7.938 run. Next would be Megan Hughes of Jamestown dialing a 7.99 to the 7.90 of Kenny Carson Jr from Lebanon. Carson would have the better light with a .539 and would take the stripe with a 7.936 run. Next pair to stage would be Brooke Adams of Beavercreek dialing an 8.54 to the 7.90 of  Adam Berberich of Blacklick. Berberich would leave early, and that moved Adams to the semis. In the last pair of the round it would be Mike Phillpott of Waynesville vs. Edmond Ellison of Beavercreek. Both racers dialed the 7.90 class minimum for a heads-up race. Philpott would take the better light with a .580, but would breakout giving the win to Ellison with a 7.955 run.

            In the semis it would be Adams dialing 8.54 to the 7.90 of Ellison. Adams would get away better with a .577 reaction, and take the win with an 8.599 run. Next would be Vance dialing a 7.91 to the 7.90 of Carson. Carson would cut a .512 light to start, and would finish with a 7.901 for the win.
            In the finals it would be Adams dialing an 8.56 to the 7.90 of Carson. Carson would get the better reaction time with a .575, and would take the win with a 7.929 run.
