Saturday drag racing action kicked off with
beautiful weather for racing. In the Super Pro Quarters it would be Evan
Kirk of Waynesville dialing a 4.84 to the 5.22 of Steve Collier of
Dayton. Collier would be better at the tree with a .527 and would take
the round win with a 5.250 pass. Next would be Nathan Baker of Xenia
dialing a 6.18 to the 5.64 of Dave Cox of Washington Courthouse. Baker
would cut a .503 light and would take the win with a 6.203 pass. The
last pair for the round would be Steve Royalty of Franklin dialing a
6.14 to the 5.91 of Leon Bryan from Jamestown. Leon would get the better
light with a .518 and would move to the semis after a 5.911 pass. In the finals it would be Baker dialing
a 6.18 to the 5.23 of Collier. Collier took the reaction time battle
with a .507 light, and would back it up with a 5.265 pass for the class
win.
In the semis it would be McFall dialing
a 12.15 to the 12.05 of Caplinger. McFall would get the better light
with a .566 and would take the double breakout win with a 12.141 pass.
Jenks had the bye run to the finals. In the finals it would be Jenks dialing a 17.05 to the 12.10 of McFall. McFall would cut a .514 light and make the pass with a 12.171 for the class win. In the Pro Bike quarters it would be Scott Sheppeard of Tipp City dialing a 9.44 to the 8.56 of Glen Lakins from Trenton. Lakins would go red moving Sheppeard to the semis. Next up would be Bradley Shellhaas of Springfield dialing an 8.95 to the 8.93 of Joe Deck from Morningview, Ky. Deck would cut a .505 light but would not be able to run the number, as Shellhaas took the win with an 8.958 ride. Larry hunter of Xenia had the bye run. In the semis we would see Hunter dial a 9.33 to the 8.93 of Shellhaas. Hunter would get the advantage at the tree with a .531 light, but it would be Shellhaas with the round win after an 8.938 pass. Sheppeard had the bye run. In the finals it would be Shellhaas dialing an 8.91 to the 9.35 of Sheppeard. Sheppeard would get the better reaction time with a .516 and would take the win with a 9.337 ride. In the Jr. 8-9
class it would be Emily Crum of Jamestown dialing a 13.27 to the 13.12
of Kyle Beavers of Urbana. Crum would get the better light with a .864
but would breakout making Beavers the round winner. Next would be Byron
Pitts of Urbana dialing a 13.55 to the 12.95 of Marissa Babb of Xenia.
Babb would cut a .609 for the better light and would take the round win
with a 12.926. Next would be Hunter Hughes of Jamestown dialing a 13.74
to the 13.25 of Shelby Stacy from New Carlisle. Stacy would go red
moving Hughes to the semis. Cheyenne Masters had the bye run. In the finals it would be Masters dialing a 13.10 to the 13.05 of Beavers. Beavers once again had the better light, this time a .659 and would take the class win with a 13.197 pass. In the 10-12 class it would be Sara Rowe of Urbana dialing a 9.45 to the 9.09 of Garreth Sheppeard from Tipp City. Rowe would cut a .574 reaction and back it up with a 9.551 pass for the win light. Next would be Shayla Babb of Xenia dialing a 9.17 to the 14.38 of Andy Glasco of Piqua. Glasco would be better at the tree with a .579, however it would be Babb with the win light on a9.313 pass. The last pair for the round would be Kay Crum of Jamestown dialing an 8.91 to the 9.16 of Dylan Northup from Springfield. Crum would cut a .541 light, but would breakout moving Northup to the semis after a 9.228 pass. In the semis it would be Rowe dialing a 9.52 to the 9.17 of Babb. Rowe would get a .514 off the tree and would make the pass with a 9.542 run for the win light. Northup had the bye run into the finals. In the finals it would be Rowe dialing a 9.52 to the 9.21 of Northup. Northup would be better on the tree this time, with a .566 and would take the win light after a 9.218 run, Rowe broke out. In the Jrs 13& Up class we would see Stephanie Brwon of Trenton dialing a 7.90 to the 8.11 of Lauren Dadas from Vermillion. Dadas would be better on the tree with a .572, however it would be Brown with the win light on a 7.905 pass. Next up would be Mike Phillpot of Waynesville dialing a 7.94 against the 8.03 of Walt Crum from Beavercreek. Crum would be better at the tree with a .585 light and would take the win with an 8.046. The last pair for the round would be Harley Patrick of Ameilia diling an 8.01 to the 7.95 of Ben Browder. Patrick had the better light with an 8.089 pass for the round win. In the semis it would be Brown on the Bye Run. Then
we saw Harley Patrick of Amelia dialing an 8.00 to the 8.03 of Crum from
Xenia. Patrick would take the strip with a .546 light and would get the
round win with a 7.994 pass. |
